This is a title sequence for a shocking, eerie, and gritty student film. I wanted to set the tone for the audience by building tension and creating an unsettling energy. I felt an analogue approach would be appropriate as the imperfections would match the film’s tone of voice. Using some maths and some trial and error I synced the rotation of the zoetropes I built to the frame rate of my camera to create the animation.
